Lunch journey to Gardens by the Bay

Pretty lovely! The weather was good, luckily it didn't rain. Surprisingly, my colleagues were saying it rained heavily in CBD and I was like no?

I went to explore Gardens by The Bay and prior to my previous post where I went to Verandah.

The Windy Wind!

The road to Heritage Gardens
This is a statue by Marc Quinn. It shows a little child almost floating in the air by lifting one of his hands up for support.
It is called Planet.

Fishes were gathering here because they thought I was going to feed them!

Lavender flowers!

The timing to the two Bays!
Actually what I noticed from taking the bus for these past days was that, the people were actually taking advantages of the buses. Some of them took from Bangkok Bank and stopped at The Promontory. There were even people asking what is Satay by The Bay and asking whether does the bus go to The Esplanade.

Well I was pretty upset and disappointed to be honest. I wanted to go to Spike Asia 2013 and they actually asked for volunteers. They gave this opportunity to another colleague because she is from China and our clients are from China. So I went up last week to ask again as I did not get an answer from the head and she went to Hong Kong. So the other person said she was part of it and asked me for my details and would get back to me to assist during the weekdays, later, I got news again. She wasn't present at work so the assistant gave me her contact to give her a call. I called her and she sounded unhappy, saying she doesn't know and would get back to me.

In this world, there are three kinds of people.
One, who doesn't bother to reply you, which makes you feel uncertain whether you would be going or not. Two, who gave you false hope; telling you this could happen and that could happen, but ended up saying they don't know, they have to check and would get back to you.
If they are not interested or have enough people to assist, why can't they just tell me or drop me an email so I don't have to wait for something stupidly that would never happen seriously?
Third, who gives you a direct answer. Telling you, yes or no; with a valid reason. I like the third one.

After all, I could only say they are so proud, so fake, so shallow, so judgemental, like the previous agency.
I could only say good luck to them in their life and look in the mirror instead. Luckily I was not part of that agency.

Lunch at Verandah- Gardens by The Bay

I took the shuttle bus again. The interval is actually based on estimation. Luckily I was there before the bus arrived!

I went to Verandah for lunch.

Verandah is a contemporary asian bistro(with a touch of western as well) which features the local delicacies as well as the western.

I really like this cosy environment; surrounded by woods, plants and leaves, happily viewing the outdoor. I love the interior design inside there.

Daily Roasted Rosemary Chicken S$15++

So I ordered the Daily Roasted Rosemary Chicken which comes with either a Sprite or Coke. This dish comes with mashed potatoes with bacon bits and really roasted juicy baby carrots and roasted string beans.I really enjoyed it!

You can choose from Claypot Tom Yam Seafood Soup with rice, also Traditional Beef Bologna adding a soup with an additional S$4++.

This moment reminded me of Daphne. I had Rosemary Chicken at her house too where Lily made it for us and Tanguy. I just remembered how much she has done for me and how long we have been together. I love her a lot.

Looking outside the french window, beautiful moments and memories :)

I was applauded by the staff there. The staff there are really helpful and well manner(greeting everyone whom went in and out). I really like their service and would definitely go back again :)

A walk to the Satay by The Bay

So I took the bus yesterday to Satay by The Bay. That was my first time there! I was pretty excited. I just want to explore around during my stay here in CBD.

Satay by the Bay entrance

It was located just next to Gardens by The Bay. I thought there is going to be a row of restaurants but it is a food court featuring all the local delicacies. I had chicken rice. The staff or the stall vendors were pretty polite and nice. The food court is pretty wide and big. I guessed it would be very crowded at night.

It is pretty quiet in the noon and the free shuttle bus is being sponsored by Satay by The Bay for the people in CBD to come here for lunch.
Sometimes, I think running a business in F&B might be tough. It all depends on the quality of the food, the quantity of the food and the location as well. But one thing I love about F&B are the people. They are very hardworking people as my mum was one of them as well.

I am still trying to explore the areas around Satay by The Bay.

The bridge brought me closer to Gardens by The Bay
The pond. It seems pretty dirty and the leaves were turning more yellowish.

Just taking a photo of myself :) Windy day! I was glad it didn't rain!

I saw the Singapore Flyer! I have never seated at the Singapore Flyer before, I was there last year for a job interview but it didn't happen and I was glad. Just suddenly thought of Fayssal. We had the intention to go up there but it was pretty expensive and that time for the both of us, so we didn't go. I am just very happy whenever I thought of the both of us. :) In fact, back then I was really happy. Ah well, life still has to go on...

That was only a walk through in Satay by The Bay. I haven't have got the time to go to Gardens by The Bay yesterday, otherwise, I would have missed the bus. In fact, I took the shutter bus today and went to Gardens by The Bay. So stay tuned, I will be updating soon!
